Currently, the movie ‘Dharmaveer Mukkam Post Thane’ directed by Pravin Tarde is making a rage in theaters. However, this week, on Friday, another new film from director Praveen Afternoon hits the Marathi public. The film ‘Sarsenapati Hambirrao’ based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s commander-in-chief Hambarirrao Mohite will be screened on May 27. Praveen Tarde and his team had participated in Loksatta Online’s ‘Digital Adda’ for the same film.
During the discussion about ‘Digital Adda’, Praveen Tarde said that the southern film director Rajamouli is her role model. He also reported that Praveen Tarde took a large photo of him near the entrance to his office. However, the reason behind posting this photo and putting Rajamau’s ideal first is that all Marathi men will feel really proud.
Speaking of Rajamouli, Praveen Tarde raved about the photo of Rajamouli in her office. “I am one of them. Only these close friends of mine know. If you walk into my office, you will see a large photo of Rajamouli. It has been a photo for the last seven years. Every day when I walk into the office, I look at that photo for a minute and then I go in,” said Praveen Tarde.
Praveen Tarde also commented on the reason behind doing it. “It just came to our attention then. I think the world should pay attention to my film. We will continue to make films like this,” Tarde said.
Tarde and his team had met with Rajmouli a few weeks ago on the occasion of ‘Dharmaveer Mukkam Post Thane’. Speaking about the visit, he said: “I got emotional after meeting them. He was speaking his language and I was speaking Marathi. They don’t give up their language,” Tarde said recalling the visit.
