There are 7 apps on Google Play Store secretly running Joker malware. Once the app is downloaded from the Google Play Store, the malware is said to steal money from Android users’ bank accounts in the name of subscription payments. Additionally, the malware asks users for permission to log in to Facebook and then steals users’ credentials by entering the wrong code. After this, the bank fraud incident takes place.

According to Kaspersky researcher Igor Golovin, malware like Joker is usually spread through Google Play. Joker malware keeps getting on the store under a different name by adding malicious code.
