IRCTC Ticket Reservation: There is good news for those who travel by train. Most people use IRCTC to book train tickets online. Previously, only 6 tickets could be reserved from one IRCTC user ID. As a result, passengers traveling in groups found it difficult to reserve tickets for more than six people. But don’t worry now. The ticket reservation limit has been doubled to 12. Indian Railways announced the rules for online ticket reservation on Monday.
The number of train tickets booked through the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website and app has been increased. This means that more tickets can now be booked online with an ID than ever before. Passengers have been greatly relieved by the change in the rules regarding the reservation of train tickets. This will allow passengers to book more tickets now.

Additionally, users using an Aadhaar-linked user ID will now be able to book 24 tickets per month instead of 12. The base of one of the booked passengers must also be verified with IRCTC ID.
The Ministry of Railways had recently tweeted from its official Twitter account advising people not to carry too much luggage while traveling on trains. In announcing the new rules, the railways had said that, like air travel, train passengers will also have to pay for more baggage.

Benefits those who travel a lot
This new decision by the railways will benefit travelers who travel by train more frequently. Previously, due to the lower limit, users could not book tickets from the app or website, but with the introduction of the new limit, more tickets can be easily booked from the IRCTC app or IRCTC website.
After the end of the ticket reservation fee, most train passengers were reserving tickets through the train window. But now the ticket booking fee for linked Aadhaar ID has been increased from 12 to 24. This means that passengers will now be able to book tickets whenever they want with their user ID and they won’t have to go to the ticket window or to the train agent.
