In recent months, a new form of the Hanuman Chalisa movement has been gaining ground in the country. It was hotly debated after MP Navneet Rana and her husband Ravi Rana sang the slogan ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ in front of Matoshri. The Rana couple were arrested at the time and released on bail a few days later. After this, as the Rana couple return to Amravati today, they are opposed by the NCP by reciting Hanuman Chalisa. However, this time Congress is two hands away from such turmoil. When asked about this, Nagpur Congress Leader Nana and State President Nana Patole clarified the party’s role.
“We are not interested”
Nana Patole has clarified that we have no interest in the Rana couple’s move. “If MP Navneet Rana wants to recite Hanuman Chalisa and only this question is important, then Congress has no interest in it,” said Nana Patole. She was speaking to the media in Nagpur.
“I’m Hindu, often”
Meanwhile, Nana Patole said that religion is a matter of faith for us. “We have no interest in Hanuman Chalisa etc. I am of Hindu religion. I repeat. I read Hanuman Chalisa at home. Our religion is the subject of our faith. But today the country is facing many important questions. The central government has sold the country and “He has led it for eight years. Work is underway to change the country’s constitution. Unemployment is not keeping the masses out of the fray. With all these issues, Congress is not interested in the issue of Hanuman Chalisa,” said Nana Patole. “I don’t want to comment on the Rana couple. That is not our subject. We respect religion. It is not advertised,” Patole said.
