Deputy Ranger Vijay Mane was granted bail by the Sangli District Court in a case of sexual abuse of a forest ranger in Sangli. Mane had applied to the court for a pre-arrest bond after the officer filed a complaint with the police in the sexual abuse case.
After the case came to light in May, everyone wondered if the case of late Melghat Female Forest Field Officer Deepali Chavan was being reviewed once again. However, the Sangli female officer filed a complaint directly with the police against deputy ranger Mane. Although the rangers backed her up, they did not get any cooperation from the senior officers. Taking advantage of this, Mane tried to suppress the case. Mane was removed from the post of deputy ranger after pressure from the unions. After that, Mane was transferred to Chandrapur. That female officer put the Chief Minister in a cage for justice. The women filed a complaint with the commission, but no one noticed. Disappointment also fell on the internal committee of the forestry department. Now that Vijay Mane has been granted bail, frustration has spread among female officers.
