Two murders were reported in the city of Aurangabad on Sunday (June 5) morning. The body of an unidentified person was found burned in the Begumpura area. On the other hand, her husband killed her wife by stabbing her in the head while suspecting her character within the confines of Satara Police Station.
Lachhu Pahelwan’s farm is in the Himayatbagh area and his burned body was found at the foot of a nearby hill, said Inspector Prashant Potdar of the Begumpura police station. According to preliminary information, the type of homicide found was an attempt to burn her body with the intention of destroying evidence.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Ujjwala Vankar and other police officers visited the scene. The body has been sent to the valley for further investigation. The police face the challenge of identifying the burned person.
Meena Machhindra Pitekar (50) was killed in the Rahulnagar area of the Satara Police Station. It was her husband Machhindra who inflicted a serious head injury on Meena out of suspicion of her character. Meena died instantly, her daughter Sivakanya Singh told police. A case in this regard has been registered at the Satara Police Station.

The burned body of Halimabi Wazir Sheikh (75), a resident of Bharat Nagar in Bidkin, was found on June 2. A case was registered at Bidkin Police Station on the complaint of Sheikh Shamir Sheikh Wazir (resident of Jambhli, Paithan taluka), son of the deceased. Bidkin police and local crime branch police arrested Sheikh Raju Sheikh Isaac, a resident of Savkheda in Gangapur taluka, among acquaintances of Sheikh’s family in the case, according to village police.

Sheikh Raju confessed to murder for money and jewelry. Halimabi had asked for money. However, when he refused to pay, he hit Halimabi on the head and killed him. According to the police, Raju Sheikh confessed that he set fire to the house and fled with the jewels on Halimabi’s body.
