This picture showing dogs on hospital beds is from Bihar, not UP

The picture of a dog sitting on hospital beds is going viral. Regarding this, in the caption given with a post, it is written that Yogi ji should see his hospitals in Delhi before learning and talking about dialect and pill.

A shocking picture is becoming very viral on social media, in which dogs are seen sitting on hospital beds. It is being claimed with the picture that this is the condition of hospitals in Uttar Pradesh.

In the caption given with the viral picture, it is written, “Yogi ji, see your hospitals in Delhi before consuming knowledge and talking about bid and pill”.

India Today’s Anti-Fake News War Room (AFWA) found that the claim is made with the picture is false. The viral picture is not of Uttar Pradesh but of a government hospital in Bihar.

A Facebook page named Aam Admi Zindabad (Aam Aadmi Zindabad) has shared this misleading post. This post has been shared more than 1000 times. The archived version of the post can be seen here.

In the viral picture, ‘Sadar Hospital, Muzaffarpur’ is written on the board hanging on the wall. It is clear from this that this picture is from the city of Muzaffarpur in Bihar.

On reverse search of the picture, we got news of Dainik Bhaskar, which appeared in December 2017. In this news, information about this picture was given.

At that time it was reported that in the surgical ward of Sadar Hospital in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, there was the panic of stray dogs on the beds of patients at night. Patients were also admitted in the ward, so the family had to stay awake at night to protect the patients for fear of dogs being bitten. At times, dogs used to enter the bed of patients sleeping on beds.

Although this picture may not be of Uttar Pradesh, but the condition of the state hospital is also not better. In 2017, the case of death of children due to lack of oxygen was discussed in BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur.

In a report of NITI Aayog released last year, the health system of UP was described as disastrous. UP was ranked 21st in India in this report. According to this report, Uttar Pradesh is in the worst condition among the big states of India in terms of health facilities.

  According to a report by NDTV published last year , there is only one government doctor in 19,962 patients in UP. In this figure, UP comes second after Bihar.
