Farmer’s son becomes education officer on first try, read Secrets of MPSC Success from Snehal in Bhandara

Snehal Ramteke, a student from a farming family in Bhandara district, was elected as Deputy Education Officer.

Nagpur: The final merit list of the final results of the 2020 State Service Major Examination conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) was announced on Tuesday (May 31). Snehal Ramteke, a student from the Bhandara district, was selected for the position of Assistant Director of Education. Snehal is from Bhilewada (Taluka, District – Bhandara) in a rural area.

Snehal’s father is a farmer and his mother is a helper in Anganwadi. His success has created an atmosphere of happiness in the village and has inspired many. The pre-service examination was conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission in March 2021. 3,214 candidates were selected for the main examination. Then, in December, 2,863 candidates appeared for the main exam.

The main examination was held in early December for the posts of Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tehsildar. The general list of final results was released in two hours after interviewing 597 candidates who qualified for the exam between April 18 and 29. In this exam, Pramod Chowgule was ranked first in the state and Rupali Mane was ranked first among women. Following the opt-out process, the final list of candidates for recommendation was announced.

Snehal Ramteke, a student, was successful on the first try. Snehal has been smart in studies since childhood. He also got a place on the merit list in exams 10 and 12. In 2015, Snehal Baravi was the first to come from Bhandara district. He later studied mechanical engineering at MIT. However, the feeling of wanting to serve the government despite his engineering education did not allow him to recover.

Snehal decided to do MPSC and started preparing for this exam from 2019. He got it right on the first try. A student from a farming family is being welcomed everywhere as he was able to pass an exam with a difficulty level like the MPSC. His success has inspired many. Speaking to Loksatta, Snehal said the journey will not stop now, but he wants to prepare for the Central Public Service Commission exam.
