Kalyan: The Maharashtra State Board of Education has started online training for teachers in Maharashtra who have completed 12 years of service. Nearly 95,000 teachers in the state have registered for this month-long training. Participating teachers are concerned as they face many technical difficulties from the first day of training.
The State Board of Education outsourced the training to an IT company. The Board has sent a link, a secret code to teachers from class I to XII who have registered for the training to participate in the training. Teachers will install an app. The teachers did not get a match from the board on the first day of training. Deployment is not set. Although installed, it did not boot. The application will be closed for maintenance. Such a message was flashing on the training screen, such complaints were made by the teachers.
Previously, training was held in person by district. Two thousand per teacher has been charged for this training. Never before had such a charge been charged. Now there are no facilities for teachers, even after fees are collected. On the contrary, we have to bear the pain, said the teacher. The teachers are confused because they have no idea who to complain to about this training, who is the coordinator of this training.
Many of the participants are not even tech savvy. They are confused in all these new ways. Not in an epidemic situation. What exactly does the board want to accomplish by receiving online training in such a situation? The masters are reacting angrily to the fact that this online ghat has been created to whitewash someone. The training will be in Marathi but no part of Marathi can be seen there.
This training is considered important for the educational improvement of the teacher who has completed 12 years of service in the position, overcoming his stagnation, salary scale, promotion. Therefore, more charter school teachers are participating in this initiative. Although the teachers in the non-subsidised schools do not have facilities, they participate in this activity as part of their experience, the teachers said. The training did not take place in two years like Corona Mahasath. On this occasion, more teachers participated in this activity.
This training is delivered through a training deployment called the Infosys Spring Board. This deployment consists of 60 hours of training with audio recording material. The teacher wants to study it by opening the PDF material it contains. Do you want to listen to audio recordings? Teachers want to participate in this training for at least two hours every day. After a month of training, the teachers want to take the test online, the teachers said.
Teachers have posted numerous complaints of technical confusion in the past two days on the state board’s website. These complaints have not been addressed or responded to by teachers, the teachers said. Teachers are being criticized for discontinuing online training.
Technical problems have arisen in the online training of teachers. An online meeting will be held about it. Efforts are being made to ensure that all teachers get the benefit of the training as they consider technical problems and solutions. Trainee teachers should not be confused by technical problems.
