Serious allegations of corruption have been made against leaders of the Mahavikas Aghadi government in recent days. The ED has cracked down on some leaders for misconduct and the leaders in question are in jail. The homes and offices of many leaders are being raided by the Central Investigation Agency. Meanwhile, Ashish Jaiswal, an independent MLA in the Mahavikas Aghadi government, has made serious accusations against state ministers.
He has said that the ministers of state demand a percentage from the MLAs. He has also said that he will file a complaint with the Chief Minister against the minister who demanded percentage. Concerned ministers are also demanding labor money from constituencies. He has made serious accusations that he provides constituency funding only if ministers receive financial compensation. Jaiswal’s accusations have caused a stir in political circles.
Jaiswal’s accusations in the run-up to the Rajya Sabha elections have drawn attention. However, MLA Ashish Jaiswal has said that he will vote only for the candidate decided by the Mahavikas Aghadi government. “If someone has the guts, they should offer it to us. We are preparing for our stay,” Jaiswal said.
When asked about the accusations made by Jaiswal, Shiv Sena MP and spokesman Sanjay Raut said: “The elections sharpen the role of political parties and independents. But Jaiswal belongs to Shiv Sena. They are not upset.” Raut said BJP leader Pravin Darekar has criticized the government for demanding a percentage from MLAs.
