The Shiv Sena also demanded a joint meeting of the District Guardian Minister, Local MPs, MLAs, People’s Representatives, District Collectors, Road Officers, Revenue Officers and all road related officials regarding to toll exemption.
Vaibhav Naik said: “There is still a lot of work to be done on the Mumbai-Goa highway. The central government plans to start collecting tolls in the Sindhudurg district. Therefore, vehicles entering and leaving the Sindhudurg district will be affected financially. So m. h Vehicles with license plate 07 need to be toll-free”. At that time, Shiv Sena leaders and officials staged a sit-in agitation on the road for some time, shouting slogans against the Central Government.
