Alibag: Anant Geete, who has been representing the Shiv Sena in the Lok Sabha for a long time and has several portfolios in the Union Cabinet, is currently in exile. The party has adopted a policy of dislodging old leaders and giving new ones a chance. Therefore, the party is seeing a picture of a high-level leader like Geetan being forgotten. Songs have been kept away from Shiv Sampark Abhiyan.
Anant Geete is known as a main and public leader of Shiv Sena. His public relations are strong in Konkan’s Raigad and Ratnagiri districts. That is why he has shown the charisma of being elected to the Lok Sabha six times in a row. Due to his long experience in parliamentary work, he had the opportunity to work in the Union Cabinet through Shiv Sena. However, after the defeat of the NCP’s Sunil Tatkare in the last Lok Sabha elections, his political career seems to have taken off.
It has been gradually pushed out of the party program. After the formation of Mahavikas Aghadi, Geete targeted NCP and Sharad Pawar at a meeting of Shiv Sena workers in Shrivardhan. Relations between Shiv Sena and NCP were strained by Geet’s statement. Sunil Tatkare had demanded action on the songs. After this, Shiv Sena began the process of obstructing the songs. The songs were also evicted from the banner of the Shiv Sena program.
Aditya Thackeray had recently visited Konkan after the Corona outbreak. A public meeting was also held in Mangaon. Anant Geete also stayed away from this meeting. On this occasion, the Shiv Sena slogan in the district was seen to be focused on Industry Minister Subhash Desai. Shiv Sena has launched a statewide Shiv Sampark Abhiyan in the context of the upcoming local body elections. In this campaign, Shiv Sena ministers and parliamentarians will tour the state and interact with workers. The work of the party is going to reach the people. It is seen that Geete has also stayed away from this Shiv Sampark Abhiyan. MLA Bharat Gogavale, MLA Mahendra Dalvi and MLA Mahendra Thorve have been entrusted with the planning of Shiv Sampark Abhiyan. Thus, the discussion has started that Shiv Sena has forgotten about a senior leader like Geeten.
Kunbi Samaj and Geete..
Raigad and Ratnagiri districts have a large Kunbi community. The songs represent this community. Shiv Sena has no other great leader to represent the Kunbi community. In such a situation, Shiv Sena may have to pay the price of kicking Geet out of the party. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise if BJP tries to bring songs that have been evicted from Shiv Sena closer together in the near future.
