A young man was stabbed to death in Sangli after he refused to give him an egg on loan. A local criminal branch team arrested seven suspects in connection with the case.

Santosh Pawar sells eggs from a Maruti Omni. On Sunday night, while doing business in front of the Ambedkar Library on Hundred Feet Road, the suspect came in for Burji. When asked for a loan, Santosh refused. At that moment, Santosh was attacked with a knife. Santosh was killed on the spot.

A case has been registered at the Vishrambag police station in this regard. Police tracked down the assailants from CCTV footage of the area after the incident and arrested seven people for questioning. Santosh had threatened to kill one of them six months ago. The investigation team suspects that it may have been a murder.
