Shiv Sena and BJP are vying for the sixth seat in the Rajya Sabha. The votes are being matched by both the ruling and opposition parties to win the elections. As allied and independent MLAs have expressed their displeasure, there is a challenge to choose another seat for Shiv Sena. So Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is paying attention to this. Meanwhile, MIM deputy Asaduddin Owaisi has commented on the issue. Owaisi has appealed to Mahavikas Aghadi for help in defeating the BJP.
“No one from Mahavikas Aghadi has contacted me or our MLA. So we wait. If Mahavikas Aghadi needs us, they should contact us. If not, here is a new product just for you! We are talking to our MLAs and will take a decision in one or two days,” said Asaduddin Owaisi.
Meanwhile, in the context of the Rajya Sabha elections, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray called a meeting of Shiv Sena and allied MLAs and asked them to cast their votes for the election of both Shiv Sena candidates without any fear. In this regard, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray interacted with Shiv Sena and allied MLAs at his official residence on Monday night. Former and now independent Shiv Sena MLA Ashish Jaiswal and other independent MLAs were also present at the meeting.
