Latur: The poisoning incident took place at Kedarpur Katejavalaga in Nilanga taluka. About 250 people were poisoned during the wedding and were treated in various hospitals. Nobody died from the poisoning. However, the pain is expressed due to poisoning in good deeds like wedding ceremonies.

According to information received, a boy from Sakol Jawalga in Devani taluka of Latur district married a girl from Kedarpur Katega in Nilanga taluka on 22 May. The wedding ceremony was attended by the Varhadhadi congregation from the village before Kedarpur, Ambulaga, Sindkhed. After the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom ate together. However, some people began to have stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Patients were admitted to Valandi Primary Health Center and Nilanga Subdistrict Hospital due to vomiting and diarrhea after eating. About 250 people were treated for the poisoning. Also, after successful treatment, they were all sent home. Medical officials said the poisoning was not serious and did not endanger anyone’s health.
