Pune: After witnessing the sunrise on Monday, 321 graduates completed their training at the National Defense Academy and took an oath to join the defense of the motherland. Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhary, Chief of the Air Staff, was present as the lead observer for the convocation at Prabodhini’s famous Khetrapal Maidan. At this time, Army Southern Command Chief Lt. Gen. JS Nain, NDA Chief Vice Admiral Ajay Kochhar, and Deputy Chief, as well as Head Coach Maj. Gen. Sanjeev Dogra were present.

Speaking on the occasion, he said: “I completed my training at the National Defense Academy 40 years ago. After that, while I was present as the main observer of the consecration movement today, the memories of that time have flooded my mind. The path you choose is not the path you take, so it is your responsibility to live up to your expectations. With the advancement of technology, the dimensions of war are also changing. Be prepared to face this changing situation. This area will give them the opportunity to serve the country and it will bring them a lot of personal satisfaction,” said Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhary, chief of the Indian Air Force.

The medals were presented by Air Chief Marshal Chaudhary to the top performing graduates during their NDA training. Abhimanyu Singh Rathore won the President’s Gold Medal and Arvind Chauhan won the Silver Medal. Nitin Sharma received the bronze medal. Mike Squadron was awarded the Chief of Staff Banner for Outstanding Performance.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, he said: “Through training at the National Defense Academy, they are preparing for the defense of the motherland. But here you will find friends for life. From now on, you will be known less for his own name and more for the 142 detachment. I would like to express my gratitude to his parents and relatives along with the teachers who accompanied them on this journey,” said Air Chief Marshal Chaudhary.

Speaking at a press conference after the call, Air Chief Marshal Chaudhary said: “India has been heavily dependent on Russia for munitions and technology. However, after adopting a policy of self-sufficiency, the three parties are making efforts to reduce dependence on defense materials. To this end, they are working with a large number of Indian companies. The three armies have taken the lead in this task and a list has been prepared of which materials to import and which will be indigenous Air Chief Marshal Chaudhary said.
