Earlier on Flipkart, Inflipkart has made Marathi available to its customers. Glush, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Canadian were offered as language options. But Marathi language was not an option. But considering the dispute between MNS and Amazon, Flipkart has now made the Marathi language option available to the customers. Along with Marathi, Bengali language option will also be available soon.

A few months ago, many people on Twitter had demanded the option of Marathi language on Flipkart. The company had said it would start work on it soon. Accordingly, Flipkart has given customers the option of Marathi language. 

At MNS’s request for Marathi, Amazon had said a few days ago that it could not use Marathi. From that, MNS had put up posters all over Mumbai saying ‘No Marathi, no Amazon’. MNS activists tore down Amazon advertisements at some bus stands and on buses in the Chembur area.

After MNS took an aggressive stance on the issue of Marathi, Amazon has taken this issue to court. Dindoshi court has sent a notice to MNS president Raj Thackeray in this case. The court has summoned Raj Thackeray to appear in person in the court on January 5, 2021.

Later on Friday, MNS activists vandalized Amazon offices in Mumbai and Pune. Some activists have also been arrested in the case in Pune. There is no doubt that the MNS-Amazon dispute will heat up in the near future.  

MNS-Amazon’s street dispute has now gone to court for Amazon to use Marathi on its app and website, it has been seen that Amazon’s main competitor Flipkart has accepted Marathi.
