Farmers and workers are interested in starting closed sugar factories. It is necessary to make an effort for this, said Kha Kha, chairman of the CPN. This was stated by Sharad Pawar as he was speaking in Islampur on Saturday. A meeting of sugar workers was organized in Islampur in Sangli district. Eat at this meeting. Pawar was speaking. Minister of Labor Hasan Mushrif, Minister of Cooperation Balasaheb Patil, Minister of State for Agriculture Dr. Come with Vishwajit Kadam. Mansingrao Naik, Sumantai Patil, President of Arun Lad Tatyasaheb Kale Workers’ Union, General Secretary Shankarrao Bhosale, President of Rajarambapu Factory P.r Patil was also present.
Guardians Minister Jayant Patil made welcoming and introductory remarks. He eats while he talks right now. Pawar said the problems sugar cooperatives face are due to mismanagement. Factory closures are unaffordable for farmers and the sugar industry. This must be seriously considered now. When the factories close, the burden falls on the district banks. As a result, the NPA of the district bank increases.
The situation in the sugar industry is similar to that in the collective employment mills in Mumbai. However, the closure of the mills affected the workers. Many lost their jobs. This should not be the case for sugar mills. Realizing that there was a shortage of technical workers, the Vasantdada Sugar Institute took on the task of training the workers. The state of the Vasantdada factory in Sangli was disturbing. Because once upon a time, Vasantdada was the ideal of a sugar factory. Today, the factory is owned by a few private individuals. We have to think why this time has come.
If the factory closes, it affects not only the workers but also the farmers. The factories that closed today need to be reopened. We have to find some solution for this. The Minister of Cooperation and Labor should take the initiative and make some decisions in this regard. pawar said.
