At the end of trading today, the BSE Sensex closed at 60,927 points, up 361 points or 0.60%, while the NSE Nifty closed at 18,132 points, up 117.70 points or 0.65%.

Except for FMCG sector stocks in Indian markets, all sectors have closed at a brisk pace. The biggest boom has been seen in the metals sector. The metals sector closed with a gain of 4.23 percent. While Nifty IT closed with a gain of 0.88 percent, Bank Nifty with 0.54 percent, the Energy sector with 0.97 percent. Stocks in the auto, media and real estate sectors also gained momentum.
