Nagar: The draft plan for the upcoming Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections was published today, Thursday. The zigzag structure is fragmented. Some groups have ceased to exist and new groups have been formed. So there is a ‘some joy, some sadness’ situation in the district.
The draft plan of 85 Zilla Parishad groups and 170 Panchayat Samiti groups was submitted to the Division Commissioner on May 25 by Deputy Revenue Collector Urmila Patil. The number of 73 groups from the previous group was increased to 12 new groups, while the number of 146 groups was increased to 24 groups. This led to curiosity about the composition.
Now that the draft plan has been announced, the lives of the applicants are in danger. As the Hakka peoples have been included in the second group and in the census, those who have been working for the last five years have been exhausted. Meanwhile, the district administration has called on citizens to submit their objections and suggestions to the District Rehabilitation Officer, District Collector’s Office by June 8. After hearing objections, the divisional commissioner will finalize the formation of the group on June 22 and the district collector will announce the final formation of the group on June 27.

What will be the decision regarding Nagardevale?
A few days ago, Nagardevale Municipal Council was established in Nagar taluka. These included Nagardevale, Vadarwadi and Bara Babhli. In the past, the Nagardevale group was independent. But this was done while the neighborhood was being formed. Therefore, the Nagardevale group was included in Zilla Parishad instead of Nagar Parishad. It remains to be seen what decision the state government and the state election commission will make.

No change in Akole, Pathardi
The groups have not increased in Akole and Pathardi talukas. The structure in Pathardi is the same. However, due to the Zikzok system in Akole taluka, the Dhamangaon Pat group was renamed Dhumalwadi and Satewadi was renamed Padalne. The existence of the Nimbalak group in the Nagar MIDC area was abolished and moved to Navnagapur. The Sakat group has been formed instead of the Jamkhed group. The group is now called the Kanhur Plateau, instead of the old Wadzire group at Parner.
Population 38 thousand to 42 thousand
Population criteria are applied in the formation of groups and enumerations. As a result, a population of 42,000 has been established for each group and changes of at least 4,000 have been made. Consequently, the maximum number of groups will be 42,400 and the number of groups will be up to 38,400.
