Chandrapur: A local criminal branch team raided Sachin Vaidya’s farm in Valani, near Talodhi Balapur, and sealed off a factory making fake perfume. Around 25 lakh worth of scented tobacco was seized during the raid. The action was taken by local criminal branch police inspector Balasaheb Khade and his team under the direction of Police Superintendent Arvind Salve.

According to the information received, in recent days fake aromatic tobacco has been being manufactured at Sachin Vaidya’s farm in Valani, near Talodhi Balapur. All the necessary items were collected. The local crime branch got the information. So a team from the local criminal branch decided to take action. The team raided Sachin Vaidya’s farm and sealed off a factory that made fake perfume. Police seized 25 lakh worth of aromatic tobacco in the operation. The factory has also been sealed and other materials seized.

A total of eight defendants have been arrested in the raid. Those arrested are Salman Arif Kasmani, Sagar Satimeshram, Rohit Dharane, Vebhav Karkade, Sagar Gajbhiye, Vaibhav Bhoyar, Mayur Chachere and Khemraj Chatare. During the raid, the police seized packaging material, machinery, an eagle, pestle, hookah, prohibited tobacco, forged stamps and a large number of tobacco cans.
