In recent years, various products have been allowed to be sold at ration shops with the help of the state and central government to increase the income of fair price traders. As part of this, fruit and vegetables will now be available at ration shops. The Secretary of Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Protection of the state government has recently announced a statement in this regard. Thus, a new market will open up for farmers.
The central and state governments are making various efforts to increase the income of fair price traders. To this end, the sale of various products and merchandise in fair price shops has been allowed through various government decisions. This will allow fair price traders to become financially viable and bring stability to their daily operations. Previously, the state government had given permission to sell various types of agricultural goods, products and raw materials through ration shops. In this context, the now registered Farmers Producers Organization (PRO) has been granted permission on an experimental basis to sell vegetables and fruits produced by member farmers through the distribution of rations and fair price shops through the system public distribution. Therefore, the way to get vegetables and fruits from the ration center has soon been opened.
