Nagpur: MP Navneet Rana and MLA Ravi Rana recited ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ on Saturday at the Hanuman Mandir premises at Ramnagar Chowk in the capital. The political drama took place after a warning was given to recite ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ in front of the Chief Minister’s house in Mumbai. The Rana couple had been away from Vidarbha for 36 days since then. He finally returned to Nagpur on Saturday. A large number of activists were present at his reception. Before coming to Nagpur, he had announced that he would recite ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ at the Hanuman Temple in Ramnagar Chowk.
To challenge the Rana couple, the Nagpur City PNC had also announced calling Hanuman Chalisa against the central government. Speaking to the media on the occasion, Navneet Rana criticized Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
There is no policy on Hanuman Chalisa – Fadnavis
If someone is reciting Hanuman Chalisa, it cannot be stopped. If someone stops, they are wrong. Therefore, politics should not be done in this context. Let those who want to recite Hanuman Chalisa do so, opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis said. When Fadnavis arrived in Nagpur on Saturday, he was speaking to the media. Billboards in support of the Rana couple had images of top BJP leaders. When asked about this, Fadnavis said: “If the panel is positive, no problem.”
I respect all religions – Patole
If MP Navneet Rana wants to recite Hanuman Chalisa and only this question is important, then Congress has no say in the matter. We respect religion, not Rana’s ad, said State Congressional Speaker Nana Patole. Patole was speaking to the media when she arrived in Nagpur on Saturday for the opening of the Congress social media camp.
