After leaving the Shiv Sena, the PEC began to descend. Veteran activists loyal to the party have distanced themselves. The younger generation is not interested in joining the party. In such a situation, it is becoming difficult to stop the party.

With the exception of Mahad Mhasla and Mangaon in southern Raigad, not much of Shekap remains in other talukas. After the establishment of the Panvel Municipal Corporation, the festival also started in Panvel taluka. Voters in urban areas are alienated. The growing presence of the BJP in rural areas is becoming a problem for the party. Former MLA Vivek Patil has been arrested in the Karnala Bank scam. Shiv Sena’s presence in Alibag Murud is increasing. In such an unfavorable situation, it will be interesting to see if Zilla Parishad’s path to power can be achieved via PWP.

In the last election held for Raigad Zilla Parishad, the largest number of 23 PEC members was elected. After that, 17 Shiv Sena members, 17 NCP members, 3 BJP members and 3 Congress members were elected. In five years, the political situation in the district has changed a lot. The strength of Shiv Sena and BJP has increased. It has not been possible for either party to gain power from Zilla Parishad on its own. Therefore, the mathematics of power will depend on the equations of alliances and alliances.

In Zilla Parishad, PWD and NCP had a pre-election advantage. However, after the Lok Sabha and later the Assembly elections, relations between the two parties became extremely tense.
