After Gyanvapi Masjid, now a new controversy about Hanuman’s birthplace has arisen. A few days ago, the Nashik Mahats had claimed that Hanuman was born in Anjeri. Mahanda Govind Das has stated that Hanuman was not born in Anjeri but in Kishkindha. Not only this, according to information given by a news channel, Govind Das has appealed to Nashik mahants to prove Hanuman’s birthplace.

Hanuman is believed to have been born in Anjeri, Nashik. There is a Hanuman temple here. Nashik mahants had argued that Anjaniputra Hanumana was born in this place. However, this is false and Hanuman was born at Kishkindha in Karnataka, states Mahant Govind Das of Kishkindha.
Disputes in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh
A few days ago, a dispute arose between Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh over Hanuman’s birthplace. Both states claimed that Hanuman was born in their respective states. Karnataka mahants say that Hanuman was born in Anjaneri hill near Hampi in Karnataka, while Andhra Pradesh mahants say that Hanuman was born in Anjanadri, one of the seven hills of Tiruma.
