The Dhule Local Criminal Investigation Department (CIDD) caught a gang selling fake documents and fake chassis numbers and license plates. Police seized 12 trucks worth Rs 1 crore 44 lakhs from them.

Sheikh Sajid Sheikh Abdul, a resident of Ikra Colony in the Chalisgaon Road area of ​​Dhule city, runs a Transport Commission agent business. Eight trucks are parked in the open space in front of his house. The Dhule Local Criminal Investigation Department had received a notice that the truck’s engine and chassis number had been changed.

Based on this information, a team from the local criminal branch interrogated Sheikh Sajid Sheikh Abdul. He said that he brought the truck up for sale. When the RTO office confirmed the trucks, the local criminal investigation department learned that their chassis numbers and engine numbers were being sold on the basis of forged documents.

Based on this information, the local criminal investigation department team conducted a thorough investigation and seized 12 trucks in this operation. Assets worth Rs 1 crore 44 lakhs were seized in this operation. Sajid Sheikh Abdul Maniar, RTO agent Iftekar Ahmed Abdul Jabbar Sheikh alias Papa agent have been arrested in this case.

According to Dhule Police Superintendent Praveen Kumar Patil, the defendants, with the help of their accomplices, conspired to use the bogus truck for their own financial gain by misleading the government and using false engine numbers for the sale.
