The meeting was held in the committee room at the Varsha residence and was attended by Chief Secretary Manukumar Srivastava, Senior Adviser to the Chief Minister Sitaram Kunte, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Public Health Dr. Pradeep Vyas and Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Ashish Kumar Singh. .

At first, Dr. Pradeep Vyas gave detailed information about the Kovid virus infection in the state. On April 16, 2022, the state had the lowest number of 626 active patients. Today, in a month and a half, it has multiplied by seven and the number has risen to 4,500, said Dr. Pradeep Vyas, adding that in Mumbai, Thane, Pune and the metropolitan areas, 97 percent of the total number of patients in the state are patients. Mumbai’s positivity rate is 6 percent and the state’s has also risen to 3 percent.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said: “The number of Kovid patients has increased in recent days. Kovid is expected to grow even larger, according to medical experts. Therefore, the government will be monitoring the situation during the next fortnight. To prevent the spread of Kovid, citizens need to focus on Kovid-friendly practices.”

Keep field hospitals well equipped –
