The OBC reservation issue, which has been pending in the state for the past several years, is currently a hot topic in politics. Opposition parties have blamed the state government for the failure of the Supreme Court to hold elections in Madhya Pradesh today with reservations from the OBC. The BJP criticizes that Maharashtra was unable to obtain the permit that Madhya Pradesh did due to the refusal of the state government. BJP state chairman Chandrakant Patil, criticizing the state government in this regard, directly demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
“This is a political assassination of the OBC reservation”
“As per the Supreme Court order, the Madhya Pradesh government reclaimed the political reserve of the CBOs by collecting instant empirical data. But the ruling government of Mahavikas Aghadi in Maharashtra removed the political reserve of the CBOs by avoiding collecting empirical data for two and a half years. After losing the existing reservation from the Maratha community and commingling the reservation in promoting Scheduled Castes and Tribes, the alliance government has caused permanent and serious damage to the OBC community,” said Chandrakant Patil.
“MP The government did a triple test, but in Maharashtra.”
While hearing the OBC political reserve, the Supreme Court had asked the Mahavikas Aghadi government to complete the triple test for the reserve on December 13, 2019. It is a triple test to establish a dedicated commission, collect empirical data from OBC through of that commission and determine the scope of the CBO reserve in local agencies and ensure that the total reserve does not exceed fifty percent. The key step is to collect and quantify empirical data. The Madhya Pradesh government completed the triple test immediately after the Supreme Court order and secured the political reserve for CBOs. But even after two and a half years in Maharashtra, there is no direct empirical data. This is a failure of the government of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray,” said Chandrakant Patil.
“The grand coalition government led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis granted reservations to the Maratha community in education and employment by completing the entire legal process. The Maratha reservation granted by our government was sealed by the High Court and the implementation of the reservation. As long as our government is in power, there will be no suspension in the Maratha reservation, not even in the Supreme Court. However, after the government of Mahavikas Aghadi came to power in the state, the government delayed the reservation The Maratha Reserve was first suspended by the Supreme Court and then canceled,” he added.
Loss of all components due to Mahavikas Aghadi
“Now, even in the case of the political reserve, it has become clear that the OBC community has been harmed due to the failure of the Mahavikas Aghadi government. The alliance government ruined the reserve in promoting Scheduled Castes and Tribes. Dhangar has not taken a single step to give reservation to the inter-tribal community. The Mahavikas Aghadi government as a whole has harmed all sectors of society. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray should accept responsibility and step down,” demanded Chandrakant Patil.
