A case was filed against Deshmukh on April 21, 2021.
On April 21, 2021, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a corruption case against Deshmukh based on allegations made by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh. In a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray dated March 20, 2021, Singh alleged that Deshmukh had instructed some Mumbai policemen, including Sachin Waje, to collect Rs 100 crore a month from restaurants and bars. from Mumbai.

A special CBI court has recently allowed Sachin Vaze to be a government witness in the Rs 100 crore recovery case filed against Deshmukh. The charge sheet was filed the next day. Waje was arrested by the NIE for seizing explosives from a car parked near Mukesh Ambani’s home in Mumbai.
