Laura: Three children, including two brothers who came with their boyfriends, drowned while taking a bath. The incident took place on Friday (May 27) morning at the Kolhapuri embankment in Lali Khurd village in Jalkot taluka. The deceased have been identified as Sangameshwar Bandu Telange (13 years old), Chima Bandu Telange (15 years old) and Eknath Hanumant Telange (15 years old).
Sangameshwar and Chima were brothers from Chimegaon in Kamalnagar taluka of Karnataka while Eknath was from Nideban in Udgir taluka. The wedding of the daughter of Tulshidas Telange from the village of Lali Khurd was scheduled for Friday. For this, the guests had arrived in Telangana on Thursday night.
On Friday, three of the children of the guests went to bathe on the Kolhapuri embankment of the Tiru River in the village. One of the swimmers slipped and fell into the water. The other two jumped into the water to save him. The three did not estimate the depth of the water. Ultimately, all three drowned.

Learning of the incident, the villagers initially tried to get the children out. However, the attempt failed because the water was deep. The incident was reported to Tehsildar Surekha Swamy. He called the fire brigade in Udgir. Firefighters then removed the bodies of the three children. Due to this incident, mourning has spread throughout the marriage of the Telangana family and the village of Lali Khard.
