Before a lunar eclipse, you need to know something about it.

How to see a lunar eclipse?
You won’t see this eclipse, so you can view it directly by visiting NASA’s official website. NASA will also stream it live on its social media platform and official YouTube channel.
When exactly is a lunar eclipse?
A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon and sun are on opposite sides of the earth, resulting in a total blockage of sunlight on the moon. This year, the lunar eclipse will also trigger an event known as the ‘blood moon’. During the Blood Moon, a reddish tint appears on the surface of the moon, giving it a unique appearance.
NASA states that “the more dust or clouds there are in Earth’s atmosphere during an eclipse, the redder the moon will appear. The lunar eclipse on May 16 will be the first of two lunar eclipses this year. The second lunar eclipse will take place on November 8.
