MUMBAI: Veteran Marathi stage and film actor Ashok Saraf turned 75 this year, marking the 50th anniversary of his career in the film industry. On this occasion, Ashtavinayak Natyasanstha and Parivara have organized a congratulatory ceremony for Ashok Saraf.
Veteran actor Ashok Saraf is currently playing the lead role in Ashtavinayak’s ‘Vacuum Cleaner’. The play will be performed on Saturday, June 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Shivaji Temple in Dadar. Ashok Saraf will be honored during the experiment.
Actress Nirmiti Sawant has a major role in this play along with Ashok Saraf. The play is written and directed by Chinmay Mandlekar. The special thing is that this honor is a free admission to the playwrights for the experiment and the congratulatory ceremony. The ‘Vacuum Cleaner’ play has been in full swing for the last four years with the help of Ashok Saraf. The play has been performed more than 300 times in Maharashtra, Goa, Indore, etc. Considering the social commitment, the ‘Ashtavinayak’ family has staged two plays of this play to help the victims of the floods in Kolhapur-Sangli. Of this, the organization has given Rs 3 lakhs to the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund.
