Famed playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, also known as ‘KK’, passed away suddenly in Kolkata on Tuesday night. The case has now sparked controversy as the Calcutta police have recorded an unnatural death in the case. KK’s death at the New Market police station was caused by an unnatural cause, police said. KK’s body will be autopsied today. KK was said to have died of a heart attack. But now that the police have registered an unnatural death, there is the possibility of an investigation into the matter.

After returning from a concert on May 31, KK crashed into the Grand Hotel. This hotel is located within the limits of the market police station. KK was rushed to the hospital. There he was pronounced dead. He was 54 years old. While KK was singing in the Nazrul Manch program at Gurudas College in Kolkata, he began to feel unwell. So he was back in his hotel room. He collapsed and was rushed to a hospital. He was admitted to the CMRI Hospital in Kolkata. He died in the hospital. Doctors pronounced him dead before he could be admitted to hospital.

According to India Today, police sources have found scars on KK’s face and near his head. KK’s body will be autopsied today at SSAKM Hospital in Kolkata. Police are examining CCTV footage of the Grand Hotel. He will also question hotel staff and event organizers.
KK made his musical debut with the AAR Rehman songs ‘Kalluri Sale’ and ‘Hello Doctor’. She then sang the song ‘Chhod Aaye Hum Wo Galiya’ from the movie Machis de Gulzar. She never looked back. The song ‘Tadap Tadap Ke..’ by Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam is the same.
