Maharashtrachi Hasyajatra is one of the popular comedy shows on the small screen. Every artist on the show has won the hearts of the audience. The artist’s spot-on humor makes the audience grab their bellies and laugh. Gaurav More is one of them. Gaurav was recently honored with the Bhimratna Award. Gaurav has expressed feelings about him in a recent interview.
In this interview, Gaurav also talks about his love for acting. “I don’t have a godfather in this industry. But I loved acting. I was fascinated by movies and cinema. I know I don’t look like a hero or have a special face like an artist, but I wanted to entertain people. So I decided that what I really needed to do was learn how to do it well. I used to spend only 100 rupees a day. I had no money to travel. There was no money to audition. I didn’t have a phone. How many times have I picked up the phone with that little button,” Gaurav said.

Speaking more about his life, Gaurav said, “I grew up in a slum in Mumbai. My life so far has been spent in Powai Filterpada. That place taught me many important things in life. I taught the value of life and that’s why I never I will forget that place. Now people know me by the name of the place. That place is part of my memories. I am proud that I grew up in such a place. After gaining popularity, many forget their past. They forget where they came from, but I won’t. No matter how big a star I become, I will never forget where I come from. The Maharashtra Comedy Festival has given me a lot and I am grateful to them for that.”
