First side: ‘shasta-chakra’ of women-centric policies

Published

on

Smriti Irani (Union Minister for Women and Child Development)

Central government policies should be women-centered so that women’s issues or their status can be assessed based on accurate statistics. It also includes tests for diseases such as cancer in women, female feticide, time women spend on housework, and unemployment among them. Development is underway in the order of ‘Scale-Policies-Policies-Re-Scale from Implementation’.

Over the past decade, the government has achieved the motto ‘Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya’. By broadening the meaning of public interest or public interest, gender-based development has been brought into the ‘mainstream’. Every aspect of governance today also thinks about women and this idea is not like a patch but it is integrated into the overall development thinking.

The current government considers gender based on a study that takes place before making policy decisions. This makes it possible to design policies that make women part of the mainstream. According to the National Food Security Act-2013, women must be identified as family heads when obtaining a ration card. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) lists one woman as the house owner and the Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojana (PMUY) lists one woman as the LPG gas connection holder. Such interventions will undoubtedly strengthen the access of women to financial resources, resulting in an increase in their social status, among other things.

Previously schemes like the ‘National Health Flight Scheme’, women inadvertently missed out on health care, in a way deviated from the same scheme, if not a man, the home would also be given ‘family’ status, and for ‘PM-Jay’ in the National Health Insurance Scheme a maximum of five members of the family The scheme will benefit ‘condition has been abolished. Due to such circumstances, women from large families have to miss out on health insurance services because men are preferred at home. This is what we have changed. In addition, PM-Jay offers a number of health benefit packages that are either women-centered or the same for both men and women. That is why more women than men are getting oncology services under the ‘PM-J’ scheme.

In less than a decade, the Modi government has done what the ruling party, which has been in power for almost half a century, cannot do. This government has not made women ‘invisible’, this government is fostering women’s power. The government is challenging gender inequality by handing over assets such as houses and LPG to women. It is not limited to policies, the government is establishing a gender based approach in data collection, surveys or other types of data collection.

For the first time under the current government, a ‘Time Use Survey’ conducted by the National Statistics Office in 2019 was conducted across the country. This survey puts our mothers and sisters at the forefront of their efforts in caring for their husbands and in home services – 7.2 hours a day! The average Indian man spends only 2.8 hours on this task. The survey found that the average Indian woman still spends a lot of time for home and family. Such surveys make it possible to examine policy reforms.

It may be mentioned here that in 1998 the National Democratic Alliance government led by the philosopher Atal Bihari Vajpayee conducted the first ‘Time Use Survey’ in six states; Now, time-consuming surveys have gained prominence in the world of policy discussion and have also been recognized by the Global Index Framework for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNG-SDG).

The National Family Health Survey (NFHS) is a general source of vital information on nutrition, fertility, family planning, maternal and child health, and a measure of India’s performance in achieving equitable health outcomes, especially for women. The selection of survey samples for ‘NFHS-4’ (2015-16) has also been updated in a comprehensive and systematic manner, in which statistical audits of all districts in the country are submitted. As a result, NFHS-4 yielded better results than the previous NFHS-3 (2005-06) national representative model. The district level model selection has made it easier to prioritize health care challenges and give the central government an idea of where more is needed.

For the first time, NFHS-4 focused on the most common types of cancer in women. Subsequent NFHS-5 reports For the first time, women have been screened for cancer of the oral cavity, breast and cervix. The NFHS-4 and NFHS-5 surveys together provide a very broad view of the health status of Indian women. Videchi acts as an incomparable mine.

In a way, this government has restructured the statistical systems in the country. The idea is to count women accurately. There is a common saying in Statistics, Economics and Management that “what is measured is measured”. What this government knows and suggests is that the calculation is important because it provides the ultimate basis for policy formulation and resource allocation.

Recognizing this, the government has made the process of collecting vacancies gender-centric by examining the five-year employment and unemployment leave previously compiled by the National Sample Survey (NSS) initiative. The Quarterly and Annual ‘Periodic Labor Force Survey’ (PLFS), which collects unemployment and employment leave, now includes the ‘ratio of female workers to population’, ‘female worker participation rate’ and ‘female unemployment rate’. We are very proud. It includes statistics related to gender.

Under the auspices of the Home Ministry, the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) has begun collecting information on female abortions for the first time since 2014. While such statistics may seem bitter to some, the current government has resorted to this method with the idea that the calculations should be accurate and precise. By compiling these figures, the government has also stepped up its efforts through the ‘Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter’ campaign. Calculating, measuring, calculating and comprehending the facts that come out of it is the first step to solving any problem or improving any situation. The government, on the one hand, generates a large number of gender-based advertisements through surveys or statistics obtained from the implementation of existing schemes and uses these advertisements to plan or improve. It is now the responsibility of individuals and groups in education, research and evaluation consultants to audit and evaluate such areas in a way that makes gender mainstream and women-centered development more mainstream in public policy.

What is SEO?

SEO, or search engine optimization, is a technique that can be used to improve the ranking of a website on search engines. When a visitor clicks on a website with good SEO, they are likely to see more pages of content and find the information they are looking for faster than if the website was not optimized.
There are many different techniques that can be used to improve SEO, but some of the most common include using keyword research, creating quality content, and making sure the website looks and feels professional.
Some of the top SEO companies in Chennai include Moz, BuzzSumo, and SERPWoo.

What are the different types of SEO?

Keyword research: How do you research keywords?
Optimize your website for search engine visibility:
Blogger outreach: How do you go about contacting bloggers to promote your content?

How does SEO work?

There are a few ways to improve your website’s ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs). One way is to add more content and make sure that it’s high quality. Another way is to optimize your website for SEO using certain keywords and phrases. And finally, you can pay a company to do all of this for you.

What are the benefits of SEO for businesses?

SEO can improve the organic search results for your business, giving you a leg up in the competition. According to research by Moz, organic search results are now the second-most important factor when customers make purchasing decisions (after price).

Additionally, SEO can help you attract new customers by improving your visibility online. People who are looking for a specific type of business or product are more likely to find you if your site has been properly optimized. Finally, it’s important to keep in mind that SEO is an ongoing process – if your site isn’t currently ranking well, don’t despair! A little effort every month can go a long way and help you achieve your business goals.

Locamanus: The fact that there is interdependence in globalization

The editorial conveys this fact to the so-called nationalists through several relevant examples.

Read the ‘Editorial and Strategy’ editorial (June 6). Let us once again set aside the philosophical truth of Lord Buddha that ‘this world is not a mound of objects but a stream of events’. The nuances of the scientific theory of the ‘butterfly effect’ can be put aside at once. But how is it possible to ignore the fact that all the material things in this world, then nations, are related to each other and that they have more or less the same effect on each other and that everyone needs each other. Other? The editorial conveys this fact to the so-called nationalists through numerous contextual examples.

In the wake of the nationalist rhetoric of his foreign minister, the global spirit expressed by Pandit Nehru since 1926 cannot be forgotten. Nehru, while acknowledging the inevitability of the Allied policy at the time, maintained a global consciousness in foreign policy. In today’s increasing age of globalization, the narrow-mindedness of ‘ours’ can be seen for a moment as a shining example of our patriotism, but the idea of implementing it as a foreign policy is a sign of immaturity.

For the year 2021-22, the country will spend Rs. It has a trade deficit of 14,930.92 billion ($ 192.24 billion). In a country that imports more than 85 percent of its energy, it is practically impossible for a country to implement its ‘ours’ policy. This is even more evident from the situation created by the extreme (?) Statements of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal. There is no doubt, therefore, that extremist nationalists who advocate ‘our’ policy will have to face the reality of interdependence, harmony and sympathy.

h. Come on. Sarang, Latur

Jaishankar is done softening up so far!

I (June 6) read the headline ‘Dhadadi and Dhoran’. Even today, India seems to be playing a softer role after the developed countries have spoken out. For the first time, Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar has spoken out strongly against pressure from big countries. The problem of developed countries has been this global problem for many years. It is in the context of these issues that certain rules and regulations apply to the whole world. Where there are no such problems, developing countries suffer unnecessarily. As a part of the world and as an independent nation we have the right to raise our grievances on the international stage. At that time, a country is expected to think independently and comprehensively without coming to its aid. On the other hand, US Secretary of State Anthony Bilken’s claim that a government that promotes a particular religion has done injustice to minorities in India is baseless, and his statement is creating an unrealistic religious rift in the country. It is also true that the progress of the country is crippled by the crutches of a few leaders.

Srikanth Shankarrao Ingle, Pune

How important is aggression to realize reality

Read the ‘Editorial and Strategy’ editorial (June 6). In fact these days everything is happening because of bold speech. Many statements like Self-Sufficiency India, Digital India, Corruption-Free India, despite the boldness of the proclamations, seem to have a procedural flaw in the walls. Boldly speaking it may slow down for a while but its lack of policy and action will underline its futility in a few days. Government must be courageous, but in doing so, it is important to know the reality, where and how to express it, and to implement it through policy and action. Looking at the central or state government from a realistic perspective is in the interest of the society and ultimately the country.

Rahul Prakash Swamy, Akkalkot (Solapur)

Sharma, Will Jindal be honored??

The BJP is anticipating the statements of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. The anti-Muslim sentiments of these party leaders will not change at all. The BJP strongly believes that it is necessary for votes. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is strongly opposed to this ideology and policy. Leaders and activists with their ideology were severely sidelined. After Foreign Minister Jaishankar replied to the US Secretary of State, Sharma was suspended from the BJP and Jindal was removed. It has been eight days since the feud between the two erupted. No FIR has been registered against him so far. Disha Ravi, an environmental activist from Bangalore, has been jailed on treason charges for distributing tool kits to farmers. The anti-Muslim rhetoric of Sharma and Jindal has hurt Indians and nationals abroad. Will the government honor them with the award?

Jaiprakash Narker, Rajapur (Ratnagiri)

Scholars care about everyone, Someone to the farmer?

Several political parties in Maharashtra have expressed concern over attacks on Kashmiri Pandits in the last few days. Are all the problems in Maharashtra over? Kharif has arrived, farmers are being thrown out for soybean seeds just like every year, there is a shortage of fertilizer, traders are robbing farmers, forcing seeds from private companies, they have no sympathy. We are careful not to take action against Kashmiri Pandits. If Hindus care so much, are not most of these farmers Hindus? Looking after Kashmiri Pandits or going to Ayodhya is not the solution to the problem. Finally one has to go to the farmers to ask for votes, not to the Kashmiri Pandits.

Nilakantha Prakash Rao Lande, Castor oil (Latur)

The advertising company did not anticipate the results?

The news item (June 5) reads ‘YouTube, Twitter ordered to remove objectionable ad’. The statement, based on a group of boys pointing fingers at a girl in the sense of mass rape, shows that even in the 22nd century, the Indian market still considers rape as an object. People enjoy jokes about rape. There are many incidents in the mythology like Draupadi undressing. This is exactly what happened to Jayalalithaa in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in the history of Indian Parliament. In a society where mass rape of a woman is used as a joke to sell body spray, many people enjoy it even though it is illegal and punishable. This company and its advertising company probably have the final hint. They may have done so deliberately to bring the brand to light.

Tushar Ashok Rahatgankar, Dombivli

BJP needs to improve its image first!

I read Mahesh Saralashkar’s article ‘Kejriwal’s ambitious war’ (June 6). After the recent Punjab Assembly and West Bengal Assembly elections, the Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat elections have become more ambitious for the BJP as the BJP has been strategizing to keep the states of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat from collapsing. As part of the same strategy, the entire action against Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain should be seen. It does not matter if it is a BJP conspiracy.

The BJP is trying to tarnish the image of Sasi Mira and the people involved in any challenge. However, the Punjab elections are proof that damaging Kejriwal’s reputation is not as easy as one might think. Now voters feel that the Aam Aadmi Party is closer to them than the Congress and the BJP, believing that the rest are on the same floor. If not

Delhi voters will not give power to this party three times in a row. If you look at the last two-three years of Narendra Modi’s rule .. Voters were stunned by inflation and rising fuel prices. That is why the BJP should be ours first instead of defaming others

Improve the picture!
